Well we have a new President-elect, Barack Obama. He ran on the promise of "change", but in just the first few days of his transition he has proven to be not as interested in change as he said during the campaign. He has appointed former Clinton aide Rahm Emmanuel as his chief-of-staff. Another Clinton-era staffer, John Podesta, is the head of his transition team. And that 's just the start. How long before we have Sandy Berger as the National Intelligence Czar?
It seems that the only real change that Obama is making is to his campaign promises. From nearly the minute after he was declared the victor in the election last week he has already begun to try to lower the expectations for what he hopes to accomplish in his administration. He has even started talking about the need for a second term.
